The category

What are skin health injectables?

Skin health injectables — also called skin boosters, biostimulators or regenerative injectables — improve the skin itself rather than reshaping the face. They do not add volume the way a dermal filler does, and they do not relax muscles the way Botox does.

Each one gives the skin a specific raw material or signal: hyaluronic acid for hydration and bio-remodelling, polynucleotides for repair, poly-L-lactic acid for structural collagen, growth factors and exosomes for cell signalling, or a vitamin and amino-acid cocktail for nourishment.

Results are gradual and cumulative. Skin becomes better hydrated, more elastic and more even in tone across a course of sessions — which is why these are planned as a protocol, not bought one at a time.

Start here

Which one is right for me?

Four common starting points. Most plans combine two — one to hydrate, one to rebuild.

Dehydrated, dull skin suited to skin booster treatment in Dubai

Dehydrated, dull, tight

Skin drinks product and still feels tight by midday. Makeup sits on the surface. Fine lines look worse than they are.

Crepey skin and fine lines treated with polynucleotide injections

Crepey, thin, fine lines

Skin has lost its bounce — around the eyes, on the cheeks, across the neck. Texture has changed more than volume.

Softened facial contours suited to collagen stimulator treatment

Laxity and lost structure

The face reads flatter or more hollow than it used to. Contours have softened along the cheeks, temples and jawline.

Uneven skin tone and texture treated with exosome therapy in Dubai

Uneven tone and texture

Post-acne marks, pigmentation, enlarged pores or a general lack of clarity and glow.

Your skin by decade

What your skin needs at every age

Skin does not age at a steady rate — collagen, hydration and cell turnover each decline on their own timeline. These are the patterns we see most often at each stage, and the treatments that answer them. Your own skin is assessed individually at consultation; age is a starting point, not a prescription.

20s Woman in her twenties after preventative skin treatments in Dubai

Prevention and hydration

What's happening

Collagen production is still strong but begins its slow annual decline from around 25. The bigger issue in Dubai is environmental — air conditioning, sun exposure and travel strip hydration faster than skin replaces it.

What your skin needs

Hydration and barrier support, not correction. Light, low-commitment treatments that keep skin in good condition rather than fixing damage that has not happened yet.

30s Woman in her thirties after Profhilo and Rejuran skin treatments

Bio-remodelling and repair

What's happening

The first fine lines settle in around the eyes and forehead. Skin holds less water, cell turnover slows, and post-acne marks or pigmentation take longer to clear than they used to.

What your skin needs

Bio-remodelling to restore elasticity, plus repair-focused treatments that improve skin quality at the tissue level. This is the decade where a structured course pays off most.

40s Woman in her forties after collagen stimulating injections in Dubai

Rebuilding collagen

What's happening

Collagen loss becomes visible rather than measurable. Skin thins, the mid-face flattens, and the jawline softens. Texture changes are now structural, not just surface-level.

What your skin needs

Biostimulation — treatments that prompt the skin to build its own collagen over months — layered with continued hydration. Combination planning matters more than any single treatment.

50s+ Woman over fifty after skin rejuvenation treatment at Roxana Aesthetics

Structure, density and maintenance

What's happening

Hormonal change accelerates collagen and elastin loss. Skin becomes thinner and drier, laxity is more pronounced, and the neck and décolleté often show it before the face does.

What your skin needs

Density and structural support, delivered gradually. Longer courses with realistic goals — improving skin quality and firmness rather than attempting to reverse the clock.

In detail

Four families of skin health injectables

Every treatment on this page belongs to one of four groups, defined by what it actually gives the skin.

Family 01

Hydrate & bio-remodel

Hyaluronic-acid treatments that spread through the skin rather than sitting in one place. They hold water, improve elasticity and give the face a smoother quality without adding shape. This is the family most people mean by skin boosters.

Profhilo Injections

A high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid placed at five points on each side of the face, which then diffuses outward to hydrate broadly and support elasticity. One of the most recognised bio-remodelling treatments available.

Profhilo Structura

A structural formulation designed to work in the deeper fat layer rather than the dermis. It suits a face that has flattened rather than lined — softened cheeks, a less defined mid-face — and is often planned alongside classic Profhilo.

2 sessions4–6 wks to resultsMinimal downtime
Profhilo Structura →

RRS HA Lifting

A hyaluronic acid cocktail carrying vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants, delivered across the face in a short course. A good option for skin that is dull and tired rather than lax, and pairs well with PRP or microneedling.

3–4 sessions2–3 wks apartMinimal downtime
RRS HA Lifting →
Family 02

Repair & regenerate

Polynucleotide and cell-signalling treatments. Rather than supplying volume or water, these give the skin biological instructions — supporting its repair processes, its resilience and the quality of the tissue itself.

Salmon DNA / PDRN Therapy

PDRN — polydeoxyribonucleotide, purified from salmon DNA — supports tissue repair and regeneration. It suits skin that is thin, crepey or recovering, including the delicate under-eye area.

3–4 sessions2–4 wks apartShort downtime
Salmon DNA / PDRN →

Rejuran Treatment

A polynucleotide treatment from Korea, widely used for skin elasticity and resilience. Small deposits are placed across the treatment area; most people plan a short course, then maintain twice a year.

3–4 sessions2–4 wks apart24–48h settling
Rejuran in Dubai →

ASCE Exosomes Treatment

Exosomes are cell-signalling messengers. Applied after microneedling or delivered directly, they support skin renewal and calm reactive skin — a common choice after lasers such as Frax Pro or Morpheus8.

3 sessions2–4 wks apartMinimal downtime
ASCE Exosomes →

AnteAGE MDX Treatment

A growth factor and cytokine system derived from bone marrow stem cells, formulated to support the skin's own repair cycle. Gentle enough for sensitised skin, and frequently combined with microneedling for deeper delivery.

3 sessions3–4 wks apartMinimal downtime
AnteAGE MDX →

PRP Therapy

Platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood, concentrated and reintroduced into the skin. Because the growth factors are your own, it is a natural fit for anyone who prefers an autologous treatment, and it works well on overall skin condition, texture and the under-eye area.

3 sessions4 wks apartShort downtime
PRP therapy in Dubai →
Family 03

Rebuild structure

Collagen biostimulators. These do not fill — they prompt the skin to produce its own collagen over weeks and months, which is why results arrive gradually and last longer than a hyaluronic acid treatment.

Sculptra

Poly-L-lactic acid, used to stimulate collagen production across the mid and lower face. Results build over two to three months and are among the longest-lasting in this category. A short massage protocol follows each session.

2–3 sessions6–8 wks to resultsShort downtime
Sculptra in Dubai →

Nithya Collagen Stimulator

Type I collagen supplied directly to the skin, supporting both immediate substrate and ongoing formation. Often chosen for thinning skin on the neck and décolleté as well as the face.

4 sessions2–3 wks apartMinimal downtime
Nithya Collagen →

Collagen Stimulating Injections

If you know you want collagen stimulation but not which product, this is the consultation-led route. Your practitioner assesses skin thickness, laxity and areas of concern, then selects the biostimulator and the course that matches.

Planned at consultation6–12 wks to results

Family 04

Nourish & brighten

Treatments that work on the skin's daily condition — its nutrient supply, its clarity and its surface quality. The maintenance layer of a skin health plan, and the easiest place to start if you have never had an injectable.

Mesotherapy

A tailored cocktail of vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid delivered in micro-doses across the face, for glow, hydration and general skin condition. Mesotherapy is also used on the scalp for hair — a separate protocol.

4–6 sessions1–2 wks apartMinimal downtime
Mesotherapy for the face →

Hyperpigmentation Treatment

A targeted course for dark spots, melasma, post-acne marks and uneven skin tone. Rather than one fixed protocol, treatment is matched to the type and depth of your pigmentation — surface discolouration and deeper, hormonally driven patches respond to different things.

Injectable and topical work is combined with resurfacing such as chemical peels or IPL where needed, alongside the home care and sun protection that keeps pigmentation from returning.

3–6 sessions2–4 wks apartMinimal downtime

Skin health is planned, not bought off a menu. Here is how a course is built.

Skin consultation with a DHA-licensed practitioner at Roxana Aesthetics Clinic, Dubai
Roxana Aesthetics Clinic 825 Al Wasl Road, Dubai · DHA-licensed practitioners
  1. Skin consultation A DHA-licensed practitioner assesses hydration, elasticity, thickness and tone, and takes a full medical history. There is no obligation to book a treatment on the day.
  2. Your plan You are shown which treatments suit your skin and why, how many sessions are realistic, what each will cost, and what results you can and cannot expect.
  3. The session Cleansing, topical numbing where needed, then the injections. Most sessions run 20 to 45 minutes, and you leave with written aftercare.
  4. Review and maintain A review during the course to check progress and adjust, then a maintenance schedule so results are held rather than restarted each year.

Investment

Pricing and packages

Pricing depends on the treatment selected, the number of vials or syringes required, and the areas being treated. Your personalised cost will be confirmed during consultation, with course packages available at a lower per-session rate where appropriate.

Payment can be split over time with Tabby or Tamara at 0% — the same options available across our current offers.

If you are weighing a course of injectables against a device-based option such as Morpheus8 Pro or Thermage FLX, raise it at consultation — the two are usually planned together rather than chosen between.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is a skin booster treatment?
A skin booster is an injectable that improves the quality of the skin rather than its shape. Micro-injections of hyaluronic acid, polynucleotides or nutrients are placed into the skin to improve hydration, elasticity and texture over a course of sessions. Results build gradually rather than appearing immediately.
What is the difference between Profhilo and skin boosters?
Profhilo is a skin booster, but a distinct type. Classic skin boosters are injected in many small points across an area to hydrate locally. Profhilo uses a high concentration of hyaluronic acid at five points per side that then spreads through the tissue, which is why it is described as bio-remodelling rather than simply hydrating.
What is the difference between a skin booster and a dermal filler?
A dermal filler is placed to add volume and change contour — a cheek, a lip, a jawline. A skin booster spreads through the skin to improve its condition and does not change facial shape. Many treatment plans use both, for different purposes.
How is Rejuran different from Profhilo?
Rejuran uses polynucleotides to support the skin's repair processes and is generally chosen for resilience, fine lines and texture. Profhilo uses hyaluronic acid and is chosen for hydration and elasticity. They target different things, and are sometimes scheduled in sequence rather than instead of one another.
What treatment should I start with in my 30s?
For most people in their thirties the priority is bio-remodelling and repair rather than volume. Profhilo for hydration and elasticity, or a polynucleotide course such as Rejuran for skin quality, are the usual starting points. Your practitioner will confirm what suits your skin at consultation.
How long does Profhilo last?
Typically around six months after the initial two-session course, though this varies with age, skin condition and lifestyle. Most patients maintain with a single session twice a year. Your practitioner will advise a schedule at your review appointment.
What is the downtime for skin health injectables?
Most treatments have little to no downtime. You may have small raised bumps, mild redness or slight bruising at injection points, generally settling within a few hours to 48 hours. Avoid makeup, heat, saunas and intense exercise for 24 hours after a session.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the treatment and your skin. Profhilo is usually two sessions; polynucleotide treatments such as Rejuran or Salmon DNA are typically three to four; mesotherapy courses run four to six. Collagen stimulators such as Sculptra usually need two to three sessions spaced further apart.
Are exosomes better than PRP?
They work differently. PRP uses growth factors concentrated from your own blood, so it requires a blood draw. Exosome treatments use laboratory-derived cell-signalling messengers with no blood draw needed. Which suits you is a clinical decision based on your skin and your preference.
Can I combine skin health injectables with other treatments?
Yes, and most plans do. Injectables are commonly scheduled around microneedling, HydraFacial, peels or energy devices such as Morpheus8. Sequencing matters — your practitioner will set the order and spacing so treatments support rather than interfere with each other.
Am I too young for skin health injectables?
These treatments are used from the late twenties onward, more often for prevention and skin quality than for correction. Suitability is assessed individually at consultation and is based on your skin, not your age. Treatments are provided to adults only.
